Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking a driven External Sales Representative to join its solar energy team in Centurion. You will develop new business, manage existing customer relationships and generate sales opportunities across Centurion, Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng markets.

Responsibilities include face-to-face meetings, lead generation, understanding energy requirements, presenting solar PV systems, preparing quotations, negotiating terms, and maintaining strong customer relationships for repeat

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 required.
• External, field or B2B sales experience.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel within Gauteng.
• Good computer literacy: CRM systems, Microsoft Office and email.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated business development.

Responsibilities

• Identify new sales opportunities in Centurion, Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng territory.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers.
• Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, site visits and business development activities.
• Understand customers’ energy requirements and recommend suitable solar solutions.
• Present solar PV systems, inverters, batteries and related products and services.
• Prepare, present and follow up on quotations and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat and additional sales.
• Conduct regular customer and site visits.
