Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking a driven External Sales Representative to join a growing solar energy team in Centurion, Gauteng. You will develop new business, manage existing client relationships and generate sales opportunities across the Centurion, Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng markets.

Responsibilities include face-to-face meetings, cold calling, presenting solar solutions, preparing quotations, negotiating terms and expanding the customer base.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• External sales experience in B2B is preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Gauteng.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Description:

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the Centurion, Pretoria and surrounding Gauteng territory.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing customers.
• Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, site visits and business development activities.
• Understand customers’ energy requirements and recommend suitable solar solutions.
• Present solar PV systems, inverters, batteries and related products and services.
• Prepare, present and follow up on quotations and proposals.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous external, field or business-to-business sales experience.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned Gauteng territory.
• Good computer literacy, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office and email.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to new business development.

Experience selling any of the following would be advantageous:

• Inverters and battery storage solutions.
• Backup power systems.
• Electrical products or equipment.
• Renewable energy solutions.
• Construction, building or engineering products.
