About the Role

Our client, a dynamic player in the E-commerce & Social Media space, is searching for a creative and strategic Social Media Content Creator & Strategist to join their team based in Centurion, Gauteng . This role is perfect for someone passionate about storytelling and skilled in translating brand narratives into engaging digital content. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and support marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for visual aesthetics, a strong understanding of platform algorithms, and the ability to craft compelling copy that resonates with target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn).
• Create visually appealing graphics, short videos, and other multimedia assets tailored for social media.
• Write compelling and on-brand copy for social media posts, ads, and campaigns.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media content calendar aligned with marketing goals and product launches.
• Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, and audience engagement to inform content strategy.
• Engage with the online community, respond to comments and messages promptly, and foster positive interactions.
• Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on key insights and recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social media efforts are integrated with broader campaigns.
• Identify and engage with relevant influencers and brand advocates.
• Stay abreast of new social media features, best practices, and emerging platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative content creation (visuals and written) for social media.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing software.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a knack for adapting tone and style for different platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
• Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred but not essential if demonstrable experience exists.
