Job summary

RSAWEB, South Africa’s leading ISP, seeks a Service Operations Centre Engineer to provide enterprise-level technical support, incident management, and service delivery for our network and managed services.

You will monitor networks, coordinate maintenance, configure VoIP/PBX, and work with customers and partners to maintain reliability and SLA compliance. Experience with Mikrotik and WiFi is valuable.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in an ISP technical call centre or NOC environment.
• Experience and knowledge of IPv4 addressing and subnetting.
• Experience with DNS.
• Experience with network monitoring systems.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Mikrotik routers.
• Experience deploying, managing and supporting PABX/VoIP solutions.
• Experience configuring and supporting managed WiFi solutions.
• Experience with Vmware, Linux/Windows servers advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Email and telephone Enterprise customer support within Enterprise SLA's.
• Triage and prioritisation of incidents, tickets and service requests.
• Outage management and customer follow-up.
• NOC monitoring and escalation for outages and major incidents.
• Monitoring deployments, maintenance and audits.
• Scheduling maintenance with RSAWEB and partner providers.
• Hardware configuration: Mikrotik advantageous.
• PBX extension management and deployment.
• VoIP configuration and management.
• VoIP service changes and cancellations.
• L3 escalations for Consumer Service Desk.
• Additional reasonable tasks as required.
