Job summary

Trending Talent Solutions is seeking a qualified Fitter and Turner for our client-based manufacturing facility in Paarl, Western Cape. The role involves condition monitoring and maintenance of mechanical equipment, fitting and welding, and manufacturing parts using lathes and milling machines.

The ideal candidate has an N3 certificate and completed apprenticeship with a trade test, plus at least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment. Overtime and standby duties are part of the roster.

Qualifications

• Qualified Fitter and Turner with minimum N3 certificate.
• Completed apprenticeship with trade test certificate.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Fitter and Turner in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with gear-boxes, hydraulic- and pneumatic-systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Condition monitoring and mechanical maintenance of equipment.
• Fitting and welding.
• Part manufacturing on lathes and milling machines.
• Proficient mechanical planning.
