Placements24 seeks a meticulous Mechanical Fitter & Turner for a busy engineering workshop in Klerksdorp. You will set up and operate machine tools to produce precision metal parts, interpreting drawings to ensure exact tolerances.

With at least six years’ experience and recognized trade qualifications, you will read complex blueprints, work with CNC machines, and inspect finished work to ensure quality. A stable, long-term role with development opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter & Turner with recognized qualifications.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in machining operations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints.
• Experience operating CNC machines and maintaining tooling.
• Strong metallurgy and material properties knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision metal parts.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications for tolerances.
• Fit and assemble components and machinery with precise alignment.
• Repair and maintain existing machinery; fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Measure finished workpieces and verify accuracy with precision tools.
