Job summary

Astral Foods Ltd in Paarl is seeking a qualified Fitter and Turner to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for condition monitoring, maintenance, fitting and welding, and machining parts on lathes and milling machines.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum N3 certificate, completed apprenticeship with a trade test, at least 3 years’ experience, and be prepared to work overtime and relocate to the area. ISO/HACCP and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• A qualified Fitter and Turner with a minimum N3 certificate.
• Completed apprenticeship with a trade test certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Fitter and Turner, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Condition monitoring & mechanical maintenance of equipment.
• Fitting and welding.
• Part manufacturing on lathes and milling machines.
• Proficient mechanical planning.
• Commissioning of mechanical equipment.
