The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of supervisory experience in logistics, excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

Our Johannesburg branch based in Kempton Park is looking for a Shift Supervisor.

Overview

Right Side Up is looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor who will organize, direct, supervise, evaluate and is responsible for the warehousing and transport during the night. The candidate must be able to lead and supervise the shift to achieve optimum efficiencies. The Ideal candidate needs to be highly organized and communicate effectively

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise staff through effective planning, leading, organizing and running of the operations
2. Ensure all system and transports procedures are adhered to and confirmed at close of everyday
3. Ensure schedules and deadlines are adhered to and met
4. Assist in the problem solving
5. Ensure accurate, efficient and effective day to day running of the shift.
6. Supervise the receiving and dispatching operations
7. Daily accurate and punctual reporting on the shift operations
8. Excellent Geographical knowledge of south Africa
9. Comply with HR policy and procedures
10. Ensure that shift staff comply with legal requirements
11. Handle disciplinary matters as and when required
12. Encourage teamwork, trust and collaboration and motivate the shift staff to achieve a level of productivity and profitability
13. Good decision-Making Skills
14. As an independent supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of logistics operations in you shift
15. You must have effective oral and written communication skills at all levels. Apply professional polite communication skills.
