Job summary

Fluor in Johannesburg is seeking a hands-on Day Shift Supervisor to manage inbound stock, supervise receiving and housekeeping, and ensure accuracy and safety in warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years supervisory experience in warehousing, and be proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP and QWIX, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• Qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related.
• Minimum 2–3 years' supervisory experience in a warehouse.
• Experience leading warehouse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and QWIX.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with Receiving, Credit & Returns, WIP and housekeeping.
• Plan and schedule receiving activities for timely and accurate receipt of products.
• Supervise unloading and receiving of supplier trucks and containers.
• Ensure incoming stock is checked, identified, barcoded and received in good condition.
• Monitor and process received goods using company systems.
• Review priority reports and plan departmental workloads.
• Coordinate stock movements between departments and maintain records.
• Develop inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and minimize variances.
• Oversee cycle counts, stock investigations, variance reporting and reconciliations.

Our client is a leading warehousing and distribution business undertaking a strategic expansion of its logistics infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a high-profile warehouse expansion project that will play a critical role in supporting the company's future growth and operational capacity.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Day Shift Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all incoming products and materials within our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound stock is accurately received, inspected, recorded, and stored while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and housekeeping. This role also includes supervising receiving and housekeeping teams and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The role is located in Johannesburg.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with the management and coordination of Receiving, Credit & Returns, Work-in-Progress, and housekeeping functions.
• Plan and schedule receiving activities to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of products and materials.
• Supervise the unloading and receiving of supplier trucks and containers in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure all incoming stock is accurately checked, identified, barcoded, and received in good condition.
• Monitor and process received goods using company systems and established receiving procedures.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric (or equivalent).
• Qualifications in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' supervisory experience within a warehouse environment.
• Experience leading and motivating warehouse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and QWIX systems.
