Job summary

Nedbank Ltd is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and modules. You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and tech teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that drive digital transformation.

The role covers ITSM/ITOM/HRSD/CSM capabilities and requires strong scripting, integration, and governance knowledge. An agile environment and strong documentation practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Preferred ServiceNow CIS or CSA certifications.
• Extensive experience with ServiceNow development and ITSM modules.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and workflows.
• Build and maintain modules, integrations, forms, catalogs, reports, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Develop and support ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or other platform capabilities as required.
• Create and maintain scripts, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer automations.
• Integrate ServiceNow with internal/external systems via REST/SOAP and APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and defects.
• Provide technical recommendations in design sessions.

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, enhancement, and support of ServiceNow applications and modules. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable and efficient ServiceNow solutions that support business processes and digital transformation initiatives

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and workflows.
• Build and maintain ServiceNow modules, integrations, forms, catalogs, reports, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Develop and support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or other platform capabilities as required.
• Create and maintain custom scripts, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer automations.
• Integrate ServiceNow with internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and other integration technologies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve platform issues and defects.
• Participate in solution design sessions and provide technical recommendations.
• Ensure development activities comply with ServiceNow best practices, governance standards, and security requirements.
• Support platform upgrades, testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and support teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), OR,
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (if CSA held)

Advantageous

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (if CAD held)
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Minimum Experience Level

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Proven experience developing and supporting solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and related modules.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments is advantageous.
