Placements24 client, an established operator in the Oil & Gas sector, seeks a Senior Well Intervention Specialist to join the technical services team in Soweto, Gauteng. You will plan, design and execute complex well intervention programs, including workovers, fishing, and P&A, while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.

This role offers remote planning with on-site supervision during operations, mentorship to junior specialists, and exposure to cutting-edge downhole tools

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in well intervention operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of downhole tools, equipment, and intervention techniques.
• Experience planning and executing complex workovers, fishing jobs, and tool operations.
• Familiarity with wellbore integrity, cementing, and logging operations.

About the Role

Our client, an established operator in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a proficient and experienced Senior Well Intervention Specialist to join their technical services team. This role, based out of Soweto, Gauteng , focuses on planning, executing, and evaluating well intervention operations to maintain or enhance production and integrity. You will be instrumental in tasks such as well workovers, fishing, milling, and deployment of specialized tools and equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of wellbore mechanics, downhole tools, and intervention techniques. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for effective planning and oversight from a home office environment, supported by on-site supervision during operations.
