Placements24 is seeking an experienced Well Intervention Specialist for sites in Upington, Northern Cape. You will plan, execute, and supervise specialized operations to maintain or restore production from existing wells, coordinating with well operators, engineers, and clients to optimize performance.

The role requires a hands-on approach with strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to work in remote field locations.

Formación

• 7+ years of progressive experience in well intervention operations in Oil & Gas.
• Ability to plan and execute a wide range of well intervention techniques.
• Strong knowledge of wellbore hydraulics, tubulars, and completion equipment.
• Familiar with slickline, coiled tubing and electric line operations.
• Knowledge of well control principles and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed job programs, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site operations with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Select and procure necessary equipment, tools, and services.

• Analyze post-intervention data and provide performance reports.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent service provider in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking an experienced Well Intervention Specialist to join their team operating in the Upington, Northern Cape region. This role focuses on planning, executing, and supervising specialized operations to maintain or restore production from existing wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed intervention plans, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring safe and efficient execution on-site. You will work closely with well operators, engineers, and clients to optimize well performance and address production challenges. This position offers a challenging and dynamic career opportunity, requiring a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of various well intervention techniques. Your expertise will be crucial in maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring the economic viability of mature fields within the Oil & Gas sector. • Knowledge of well control principles and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure.
• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in oilfield operations.
• Ability to work effectively in remote field locations.
