Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Well Intervention Specialist to enhance production from assets in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on planning, executing and supervising P&A, CT, slickline, wireline and E-line interventions with a strong emphasis on safety and asset integrity.

You will coordinate with production engineers, operations teams and service providers to maximise hydrocarbon flow and maintain asset value through innovative well management strategies in the South African energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in well intervention operations in Oil & Gas.
• In-depth knowledge of intervention techniques: Coiled Tubing, Wireline, Slickline, E-line, P&A operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop detailed well intervention programs with scope, procedures and risk assessments.
• Supervise execution of well intervention operations on location.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage service providers and contractors involved in interventions.
• Monitor well performance before, during and after interventions.
• Analyze data and provide recommendations for future interventions.
