Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape invites a Senior Well Intervention Engineer to lead planning and execution of well intervention programs, including workovers and abandonments, focusing on asset integrity and production optimization.

You will supervise on-site operations, select downhole tools, conduct risk assessments, analyze data for improvements, and collaborate with reservoir and production engineers while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in well intervention, workover, or completions within Oil & Gas.
• Experience planning and executing diverse well interventions.
• Strong knowledge of downhole tools and remedial operations.
• Familiarity with wireline, slickline and coiled tubing operations.
• Understanding well control principles is essential.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive well intervention programs including workover and abandonment strategies.
• Plan and design execution of intervention operations with appropriate equipment.
• Supervise on-site interventions, ensuring safety and adherence to plans.
• Manage selection and deployment of downhole tools and equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation for intervention activities.
• Analyze well data to identify production optimization opportunities.
• Prepare post-operation reports with performance analyses and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with reservoir and production engineers and operations teams.
