Placements24 is seeking an experienced Well Intervention Specialist to support production operations in Klerksdorp, North West. The role focuses on planning and executing interventions to optimize production, maintain well integrity, and resolve operational challenges in mature fields.

The candidate should have 10+ years in well intervention, deep knowledge of downhole tools, safety standards, and production optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in well intervention operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven track record planning and executing a wide range of well intervention techniques.
• Strong understanding of downhole tools, equipment, and operational procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of well control principles and safety standards for intervention operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute well intervention operations, including wireline, coiled tubing, and pumping services.
• Assess well conditions and recommend appropriate intervention strategies to enhance production or resolve issues.
• Oversee the mobilization, operation, and demobilization of intervention equipment and personnel.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, operating procedures, and environmental regulations during all operations.
• Monitor well performance during and after intervention activities, analyzing results and reporting on outcomes.
• Manage vendors and service providers involved in well intervention operations.
• Develop detailed job programs and risk assessments for each intervention.
• Troubleshoot operational problems encountered during intervention activities.
• Contribute to post-job analysis and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to well intervention activities.
