Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Well Intervention Engineer for Kimberley to plan and supervise intervention operations across oil and gas wells, including workovers, completions, and plug and abandonment activities. The role emphasizes safety, asset integrity, and team leadership.

You will design procedures, mentor junior engineers, manage service providers, and ensure compliance with HSE regulations while optimizing production performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well intervention, workover, or completion engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of wellbore construction, downhole tools, and completion equipment.
• Experience with wireline, slickline, and coiled tubing operations.
• Proficiency in well intervention planning software and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute well intervention programs, including fishing, sidetracking, and stimulation operations.
• Develop detailed procedures and risk assessments for all intervention activities.
• Manage service providers and equipment to ensure safe and efficient execution of operations.
• Monitor well conditions and production performance during intervention activities.
• Analyze post-intervention results and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.
