Placements24 is recruiting a Senior VoIP Engineer for a fully remote role in the telecoms sector. You will design, implement, and manage enterprise VoIP and UC systems, ensuring high availability and superior voice quality across the organization.

You will work with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, SBCs, and PBX platforms, while applying QoS and security best practices. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive remote team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years hands-on experience in enterprise VoIP and UC.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP, SRTP.
• Experience with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, SBCs.
• Understanding of QoS for real-time communication.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose voice quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain VoIP infrastructure including PBX systems, SBCs, and call managers.
• Implement and manage unified communications, integrating voice, video, and messaging.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot voice quality, optimize network configurations.
• Develop and implement security measures to protect VoIP systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for VoIP systems and procedures.
• Provide expert support to junior engineers and staff.
