Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Event Coordinator to join their fully remote team. Based out of Soweto, Gauteng, you will manage end-to-end event planning for global clients, coordinating with vendors, speakers, and sponsors, and ensuring seamless execution for virtual and in-person components.

You will lead timelines, budgets, and risk strategies while delivering exceptional client service and post-event analyses. A background in Hospitality and strong remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute virtual and in-person events aligned with client objectives and brand standards.
• Manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee contracts for cost-effectiveness.
• Develop detailed event timelines, project plans, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, speakers, and sponsors for smooth event flow.
• Oversee logistics including venue selection for in-person components, catering, A/V, entertainment, and staffing.
• Create engaging event content and promotional materials with marketing teams.
• Provide exceptional client service with proactive communication and expectation management.
• Conduct post-event analysis, gather feedback, and report on ROI.
