Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of production facilities in Upington, Northern Cape. You will manage projects from conception through completion and collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, 5+ years of facilities engineering experience (Oil & Gas preferred), and strong project management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, equipment specifications, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design, procurement, and construction of new production facilities and modifications to existing ones.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and integrity of production facilities, including pipelines, tanks, and processing equipment.
• Ensure all facilities engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations for facility upgrades and expansions.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and third-party contractors.
