Mahlatini Luxury Travel is seeking an African Travel Expert to craft tailormade itineraries and manage end-to-end client journeys for luxury travellers in Southern and Eastern Africa.

You will convert warm leads, present high-quality itineraries, and deliver exceptional client service while expanding product knowledge and maintaining supplier relationships.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in luxury travel consulting.
• Proven ability to design and sell complex itineraries.
• First-hand knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Strong sales track record and ability to hit targets.
• Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, video).
• Organised, tech-savvy, and confident managing multiple clients.

At Mahlatini Luxury Travel, we design Life's Greatest Journeys. As leaders in luxury safaris and tailor-made travel across Southern and Eastern Africa, we're expanding our team of African Travel Experts.

We're looking for experienced consultants who combine in-depth knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalised client experiences. What we’re looking for

Essential

• 3+ years' experience as a Travel Consultant in tailor-made, luxury travel
• Proven ability to design and sell complex itineraries
• First-hand knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa
• Strong sales track record and ability to hit targets
• Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and video)
• Organised, tech-savvy, and confident managing multiple clients

Desired

• Experience with GDS/flight systems
• Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent

The Role:

• Curation of high-quality, tailormade itineraries for a wide range of traveller segments
• Managing the end-to-end client journey, including planning, costing, refining, and confirming itineraries, through to post-travel communications and nurturing future travel wish lists
• Conversion of warm sales leads via email, telephone, and video calls
• High-quality presentation of customised travel itineraries, including supply of relevant supporting information and advice
• Delivering gold-standard client service at all stages of the sales process to foster repeat and referral business
• Proactive expansion of product knowledge, staying informed of the latest industry developments to ensure expertise across our specialist product portfolio
• Maintaining up-to-date commercial knowledge of properties, flight routings, and logistics
• Fostering strong working relationships with colleagues and trade partners, while demonstrating a strong team ethic
