Job summary

Mahlatini Luxury Travel is seeking an African Travel Specialist to design and tailor luxury safari itineraries across Sub-Saharan Africa. You will convert warm leads through calls, emails and video consults, present polished proposals and manage client expectations from booking to post-travel follow-up.

You’ll leverage your 3+ years of luxury travel consultancy, deep destination knowledge and strong sales track record to hit targets while delivering exceptional client experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as Travel Consultant in tailor-made luxury travel.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Hands-on knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa and luxury itineraries.
• Proven ability to design and sell complex itineraries.

Responsibilities

• Curate bespoke luxury safari itineraries across Africa.
• Convert warm leads via phone, email and video consultations.
• Present polished, detail-driven proposals.
• Deliver outstanding service before, during, and after travel.
• Stay ahead of product developments to maintain destination expertise.

We’re looking for experienced consultants who combine in-depth knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalised client experiences. What we’re looking for

• 3+ years’ experience as a Travel Consultant in tailor-made, luxury travel
• Proven ability to design and sell complex itineraries
• First‑hand knowledge of Sub‑Saharan Africa
• Strong sales track record and ability to hit targets
• Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and video)
• Organised, tech‑savvy, and confident managing multiple clients
• Experience with GDS/flight systems
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent
