Job summary

Discover Africa Group seeks a Senior Africa Safari Expert who will design bespoke itineraries and act as a trusted advisor for clients seeking authentic African safaris.

You’ll manage the end-to-end journey, leveraging deep knowledge of destinations, logistics, and accommodations to exceed expectations while achieving sales goals and maintaining exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Travel and Tourism.
• 5+ years’ experience in the tourism industry, specifically selling African safaris.
• Strong knowledge of African destinations, logistics, and properties.
• Proven success in a sales environment, working directly with clients.
• Familiarity with tools like Travelyst, WETU, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Use in-depth knowledge of African destinations to design exceptional itineraries reflecting client expectations and budgets.
• Manage client interactions from first inquiry to post-travel, delivering expert advice and service.
• Oversee booking processes, payments, logistics, and documentation with precision.

Your Purpose

As a Senior Africa Safari Expert, your role will go beyond planning safaris—you’ll be a guide, a storyteller, and a trusted advisor. You’ll craft bespoke journeys that immerse clients in the magic of Africa, ensuring every traveler feels inspired, cared for, and deeply connected to the experience.

What You’ll Do

• Use your in-depth knowledge of African destinations to design exceptional itineraries that reflect client expectations, preferences, and budgets.
• Manage client interactions from the first inquiry to post-travel, providing expert advice and exceptional service at every stage.
• Oversee all aspects of the booking process, including payments, logistics, and documentation, with precision and care.
• Go above and beyond to surprise and delight clients, creating unforgettable memories and ensuring their journey is truly one of a kind.
• Achieve monthly sales goals while contributing to a supportive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:
