Placements24 is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for our client in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead planning, design, and analysis of transportation projects, including roads and public transport facilities, while mentoring junior staff and liaising with clients and authorities.

The role requires a Master’s in Transportation Eng, Civil Eng, or Urban Planning, with Pr Eng preferred, and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Travel within Gauteng will be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in transportation planning and engineering.
• Experience with traffic analysis and modeling (VISSIM, SIDRA).
• Knowledge of road design standards and public transport operations.
• Experience with TOD and sustainable transport is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Gauteng.
