The role is office-based with occasional site visits and local travel. Candidates should hold a transportation/civil engineering degree and PrEng registration, with at least seven years

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation or Civil Engineering with a transportation focus.
PrEng registration with ECSA or eligible for registration.
Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation planning and design.
Proficiency with traffic simulation and modeling software.
Strong knowledge of road design standards and ITS.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and analysis of transportation projects including roads and public transport.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, arterial roads, intersections, and public transport facilities.
Develop traffic models and conduct traffic impact assessments for various development proposals.
Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using specialized transportation engineering software (e.g., Vissim, Synchro, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
Manage project teams, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure project alignment.
Oversee the construction phase of transportation projects, providing technical support and quality assurance.
Mentor and guide junior transportation engineers and technicians.
Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals.
Ensure compliance with national and international transportation standards and best practices.
Contribute to the advancement of sustainable transportation solutions and intelligent transport systems (ITS).

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in transportation.
