• Decide on manufacturing sequence for efficiency.

This key role involves overseeing toolroom operations and managing the production, maintenance, and improvement of high-precision tools, molds, dies, and fixtures. Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Qualified Tool-and-Die Maker
• CNC Milling Setup Experience
• 3 years post qualification experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of using precision measuring equipment to carry out a metrology function.
• Must be able to perform 3-axis CNC programming.
• Must be able to weld aluminium and use a tig welding machine.
• Surface grinding experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Decide which manufacturing process/techniques/machines is best suited for intended job.
• Ensure machines are set up and operated in various ways to achieve the required results.
• Ensure parts comply with specifications and engineering drawing.
• Check all parts made to drawing before commencing assembly,
• Decide on sequence of manufacture, fitting, and assembly to obtain optimum efficiency,
• Decide which parts are out of specification and need replacing or machining,
• Decide on repair method. Recommend corrective action to Production Manager,
• Fully understand CAD drawings
• Attend to all tooling breakdowns.
• Manufacturing and repairing of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Changeover of tools for different components
• Adhere to Health and Safety Standards
