Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecoms Operations Manager to lead a remote-based operations team across South Africa. You will oversee network performance, incident response, and continuous improvement, shaping strategies and ensuring service reliability.

You will manage a distributed group of engineers and support staff, collaborate with vendors, and drive efficiency in a fully remote environment from anywhere in SA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years in telecom operations with leadership experience.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Telecoms Operations Manager to lead their remote-based operations team. This crucial role will oversee the day-to-day management of the telecommunications network, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency across all services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing incident response, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a fully remote setup. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the performance and reliability of the telecommunications network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in telecom operations , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale telecommunications networks.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and operational tools.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and process improvement.
