Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Sales Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will design and present technical telecom solutions, respond to RFPs, and guide customers through the sales cycle while acting as a subject-matter expert.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 6 years in sales engineering within telecom and excel at translating technical concepts into business value, with excellent communication and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or pre-sales in telecom.

Responsabilités

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with account managers to understand customer requirements and identify opportunities.
• Design and present technical solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
• Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information) with technically sound and accurate information.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, from initial qualification to closing.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the company's telecommunications products and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical decision-makers at client organizations.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
• Provide feedback to product management and engineering teams based on customer interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales role in the telecommunications industry.
• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications technologies such as IP networking, VoIP, mobile networks (LTE/5G), cloud communications, and unified communications.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with CRM software and sales methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales cycles simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements, potentially within Gauteng .
• This position is fully remote.
