Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Systems Engineer to join a fully remote team in South Africa. You will design, implement, and optimize complex telecommunications systems, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of new technologies across dispersed teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in telecoms systems engineering, deep knowledge of 5G, fiber optics, VoIP, and IP networking, plus scripting in Python or Bash.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in telecoms systems engineering or network architecture.
• Expertise in 5G, fiber, VoIP, and IP networking.
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale network solutions.
• Strong programming or scripting skills (Python, Bash) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for remote work.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor teams.
