Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Solutions Architect to design and develop robust telecom solutions from voice and data to wireless and cloud-based platforms. You will engage clients, translate business needs into scalable architectures, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires 8+ years in telecom design, strong IP networking, VoIP, 4G/5G and data centre knowledge, with a focus on end-to-end system architecture and collaboration across sales, engineering, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in telecommunications solution design and architecture.
• Proven ability to architect complex, end-to-end telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive telecommunications solutions, encompassing voice, data, video, and wireless technologies.
• Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed solution proposals, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and BOM.
• Collaborate with pre-sales, engineering, and product management teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment.
• Stay abreast of emerging telecommunications trends, technologies, and vendor offerings.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the sales and implementation cycles.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in the Gauteng region is advantageous.
• This role requires full-time presence in our Benoni office.
