Job summary

Placements24's client, a leader in advanced telecommunications solutions, seeks a Senior Systems Integration Engineer at their Centurion, Gauteng facility. You will design, develop, test, and deploy integrated hardware and software systems to meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.

The role requires deep system architecture knowledge, networking protocol expertise, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of systems integration experience in telecom or complex IT environments.
• Proven ability to integrate diverse systems (network devices, servers, software, databases).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SIP) and data formats (XML, JSON).
• Experience with scripting for automation and testing.
• Proficiency in system testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect integrated solutions for hardware/software components.
• Develop integration plans, tests, and deployment procedures.
• Perform system, performance, and interoperability testing.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, product management, and operations.
• Document architectures, processes, and test results.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve integration processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure systems meet security, performance, and reliability standards.
• Support lifecycle management, including upgrades and maintenance.
