You will design, develop, test, and deploy integrated hardware and software systems to meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.

The role requires deep system architecture knowledge, networking protocol expertise, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of systems integration experience in telecom or complex IT environments.
• Proven ability to integrate diverse systems (network devices, servers, software, databases).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SIP) and data formats (XML, JSON).
• Experience with scripting for automation and testing.
• Proficiency in system testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and documentation.

About the Role

Our client, a leader in providing advanced telecommunications solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer . This role is based at their state-of-the-art facility in Centurion, Gauteng, ZA , and is crucial for ensuring the seamless integration of complex hardware and software systems within the telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying integrated solutions that meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of system architecture, networking protocols, and a proven ability to troubleshoot intricate integration challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect integrated solutions, ensuring compatibility between various hardware and software components.


• Develop detailed integration plans, test strategies, and deployment procedures.


• Perform system integration testing, performance testing, and interoperability testing.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, product management, and operations.

Requirements

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) for automation and testing.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.


• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms is a plus.
