Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer for projects in Sandton, Gauteng. You will oversee technical on-site execution, ensuring adherence to design specs, quality, and safety standards while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, ECSA registration preferred, and at least seven years of site-based structural project delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• ECSA Pr.Eng or Pr. Tech Eng registration desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of site engineering experience on structural projects.
• Proven experience managing complex structural construction projects.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods and materials.
• Strong quality, safety and regulatory knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage the engineering and technical aspects of construction projects on site.
• Ensure construction activities meet design specifications, drawings and quality standards.
• Implement and manage site quality control procedures.
• Monitor progress and resolve technical issues and challenges.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers from a technical perspective.
• Liaise with design team, project managers and clients on technical matters.
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments and lift plans.
• Supervise and mentor junior site engineers and site staff.
• Contribute to planning and scheduling of site works.
