Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a leading international engineering consultancy in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will lead complex design projects, oversee analysis, detailing, and compliance with SANS and other codes, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes project leadership, client coordination, and delivering safe, cost-effective infrastructure on time. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage design documentation, and contribute to landmark

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA or international equivalent.
• 8–10 years of progressive structural engineering experience on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for complex infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
• Perform advanced structural analysis using ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specs, and tender documents.
• Review designs and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage site visits and supervision.
