Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including high-rise and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of seismic design, wind engineering, and advanced analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis for high‑rise buildings and commercial properties.
• Perform advanced modeling and analysis using ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit Structure.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, codes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct design and peer reviews and QA checks.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for structural tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Undertake site inspections and support construction to realize design intent.
• Stay updated on innovative structural systems and materials.
