Placements24 is partnering with a premier construction firm in Cape Town to recruit a Lead Structural Engineer who will drive the structural design of high-rise buildings and complex projects.

In this senior role, you will lead engineering teams, perform advanced analyses using ETABS/SAP2000, ensure compliance with SA codes, and collaborate with architects and clients to realise ambitious developments in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering required.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA essential.
• Min 10 years' experience in structural engineering, high-rise focus.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams on complex projects.
• Expertise in FEA and structural modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage structural engineering for major projects, focusing on high-rises.
• Develop innovative, safe, and efficient structural designs.
• Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and simulations.
• Review drawings and calculations, ensure compliance.
• Oversee on-site implementation and quality adherence.
• Collaborate with clients, architects and consultants.
• Mentor team and stay updated on new techniques.
• Maintain awareness of SA building codes and standards.
