Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Civil Engineer in Midrand, Gauteng. You will lead the design of foundations, superstructures, and retaining walls, applying SANS standards and coordinating with architects, contractors and other disciplines.

You will manage project timelines and budgets, mentor junior staff, and contribute to tender proposals while ensuring high-quality technical outputs and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 8+ years of structural engineering design and project management experience.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Prokon, AutoCAD, Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of building projects including foundations, superstructures, and retaining walls.
• Perform detailed analyses and calculations using industry software.
• Prepare and review drawings, specs, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
