Placements24 is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to design and oversee structural components for critical infrastructure in Richards Bay. You will ensure safety, stability, and compliance across projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires a professional engineering registration with ECSA, a minimum of five years' experience, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr.Eng or Techni-Eng.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering design, particularly on infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, Revit Structure).
• Strong understanding of materials science and structural mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects using specialized software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with national building codes, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design integrity.
• Investigate structural issues and recommend appropriate solutions or repairs.
