The candidate will perform analyses, prepare drawings, and collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate structural designs into project plans, while monitoring construction progress and addressing on-site issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng or Technologist.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building foundations, frameworks, and other load-bearing components for projects in Richards Bay.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify structural integrity, and resolve on-site engineering issues.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with design specifications.
