Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for major industrial projects in Richards Bay. You will apply advanced structural mechanics, materials knowledge and construction methods to ensure safety, integrity and longevity of complex facilities.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, develop drawings and specifications, and guide projects from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• 7+ years of industrial structural engineering experience.
• Experience with SAP2000 and ETABS.
• Knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design for industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for industrial components and buildings using advanced software.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Conduct site assessments and structural integrity evaluations for existing facilities.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and longevity of complex structures. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various industrial components and buildings using advanced software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering , with a strong focus on industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete design for industrial applications.
