Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for major industrial projects in Richards Bay. You will apply advanced structural mechanics, materials knowledge and construction methods to ensure safety, integrity and longevity of complex facilities.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, develop drawings and specifications, and guide projects from concept through commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
- 7+ years of industrial structural engineering experience.
- Experience with SAP2000 and ETABS.
- Knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design for industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial components and buildings using advanced software.
- Develop detailed drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Conduct site assessments and structural integrity evaluations for existing facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Manage structural engineering aspects from conceptualization through construction and commissioning.
