Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Pr.Eng. registration or eligibility is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Deep knowledge of structural design principles, materials (steel, concrete, timber), and SANS codes.
• Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Revit).
• Strong understanding of construction methods and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and civil infrastructure using advanced engineering software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports for client and regulatory approval.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction is proceeding according to design and address issues.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure design intent.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
