You will lead the structural design and analysis of heavy industrial facilities, ensuring safety, constructability, and compliance with SANS, API and AISC standards while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Structural/Civil Engineering, Pr.

Eng. with ECSA, 8+ years of industrial experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a strong focus on structures.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in industrial facilities.
• Proven expertise in steel and concrete structures for industrial applications.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead the structural design and analysis of industrial buildings, structures, and foundations.
• Perform complex calculations and modeling for heavy loads, dynamic forces, and harsh environments.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and project-specific requirements (SANS, API, AISC).
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, and other disciplines for integrated designs.
• Manage structural engineering project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Conduct site visits to support construction and resolve design issues.
• Mentor junior structural engineers and designers.
• Review designs and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to best practices in industrial structural engineering.
