Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal seeks a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead design, analysis, and oversight of structural elements on diverse civil and building projects. You will perform analyses, prepare drawings, and supervise site activities to ensure compliance with SANS and local codes.

The role involves collaboration with architects and project teams, providing guidance to junior engineers, and contributing to tender proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Techniologcial Professional.
• Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proven experience designing steel, concrete, masonry structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of SA building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for civil and building projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.
• Conduct site investigations and inspections to assess structures.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and relevant codes.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and engineering disciplines.
