You will mentor junior engineers, oversee budgets and timelines, and stay current with design standards and construction technologies. PrEng registration is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with high-rise building exposure.
• Expert proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure).
• Deep understanding of seismic design principles, wind engineering, and advanced analysis.
• Proven track record delivering complex building projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings or site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of high-rise buildings from concept to completion.
• Develop detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced software.
• Ensure compliance with SANS structural design and seismic provisions.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and other disciplines.
• Conduct structural reviews of design documents and construction plans.
• Oversee construction activities and resolve structural challenges.
• Perform site visits and inspections to ensure structural integrity.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for structural components.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical growth.
• Prepare reports, risk assessments, and client-ready presentations.
