Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• 4+ years in stormwater and drainage engineering.
• ECSA registration preferred (Pr. Eng or Tech Eng).
• Proficiency in SWMM/HEC-RAS.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise.
• Knowledge of South African environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to fluid dynamics and hydrology.
• Effective report writing and communication abilities.
• Driver's license and willingness to site visit.

Responsibilities

• Design stormwater management plans and drainage systems for various developments.
• Model hydraulics to assess runoff, peak flows, and flood risks.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications and tender documents.
• Perform site investigations to gather data and assess drainage conditions.
• Ensure designs comply with national, provincial and local regulations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, architects and town planners.
• Supervise construction of stormwater infrastructure and ensure quality.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients.
