Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Civil Engineer in Sandton, Gauteng, with expertise in stormwater management and drainage design. You will design, analyze, and implement drainage systems for urban and infrastructure projects, using hydrology and hydraulics principles and industry software in a hybrid work setting.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering required.
• At least 5 years of stormwater and drainage design experience.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling tools and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Design stormwater plans including drainage networks and basins.
• Conduct hydrological/hydraulic modeling to optimize designs.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, specs and tender docs.
• Site assessments and feasibility studies for drainage projects.
• Coordinate with authorities to secure approvals.
• Collaborate with planners and engineers to integrate drainage into developments.
• Provide construction support with site inspections.
• Review designs of junior engineers for quality.
• Stay updated on stormwater tech and best practices.
• Contribute to sustainable urban drainage and green infra.
