Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with expertise in Stormwater Management and Drainage systems to join our Stellenbosch team. The role focuses on designing and implementing effective rainwater management solutions to prevent flooding while supporting sustainable drainage practices in urban and rural developments.

You will work on projects that enhance community resilience and protect infrastructure from water-related risks, collaborating with planners, architects, and engineers

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Registration with ECSA as Candidate Engineer or Technologist preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design and implementation of stormwater and drainage systems.

Aufgaben

• Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including culverts, channels, detention ponds, and infiltration systems.
• Model hydrology and hydraulics to assess runoff volumes and flow rates.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and tender documentation for drainage infrastructure.
• Ensure designs comply with local stormwater regulations and SuDS principles.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineers to integrate drainage solutions into development projects.
• Perform site assessments and investigations to identify drainage issues and propose solutions.
