Placements24 in Paarl, Western Cape, is seeking a Senior Site Quantity Surveyor to drive on-site commercial management and cost control. You will value work, manage subcontractors, and support the Project Manager with commercial matters.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 6 years of site-based experience, strong numeracy, and solid knowledge of contracts. You will work independently on-site in a dynamic construction team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 6 years site-based quantity surveying experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and QS software.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and various construction contracts.
• Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage all site-based commercial and contractual aspects.
• Value work by subcontractors and self-perform for interim payments.
• Monitor costs and keep expenditure within budget.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Administer subcontractor agreements and assess progress claims.
• Negotiate and settle final accounts with subcontractors and client.
• Identify, price variations and claims.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Liaise with site staff, PMs, and clients on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities and costs.
