Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Residential Property Developer in Port Elizabeth/ Eastern Cape. You will identify land, lead the full development lifecycle from concept to completion, and drive high-quality residential projects.

The role emphasizes land acquisition, planning, construction management, and strategic sales & marketing in the region. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in residential development, strong regulatory knowledge, and leadership capabilities to deliver complex

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
8+ years in residential property development with strong Eastern Cape experience.
Proven land acquisition, project management, construction oversight, and sales/marketing.
Knowledge of local planning regulations, building codes, and development processes.
Strong financial modeling, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in project management software and standard office apps.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

Identify and secure land parcels for residential development in the Eastern Cape, especially around Port Elizabeth.
Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and financial viability assessments.
Manage the development process, including planning applications, zoning approvals, and compliance.
Oversee design and architectural aspects for aesthetics and functionality.
Manage construction, contractor selection, budgets, and quality assurance.
Develop and execute sales/marketing strategies for sell-out of units.
Build relationships with local authorities, consultants, contractors, and sales agents.
Monitor timelines and budgets, identify and mitigate risks.
Stay updated on market trends and housing demand in Port Elizabeth.
