Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Real Estate Developer to drive complex development projects across South Africa in a fully remote setup. You will identify opportunities, lead feasibility studies, and manage the full development lifecycle from concept to completion.

The role requires 10+ years in real estate development, strong financial modeling, and strategic market insight, with a preference for familiarity with the North West region and Mahikeng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Finance, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development, with large-scale project management.
• Extensive financial analysis, pro forma modeling, and transaction structuring skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate development opportunities including land acquisition and urban regeneration.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and financial modeling for proposals.
• Manage development lifecycle from planning to construction, leasing, and disposition.
• Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and risk control.
• Negotiate purchase, JV, and financing agreements.
• Build relationships with investors, lenders, government officials, and community leaders.
• Coordinate design teams, consultants, and contractors for quality delivery.
• Track market trends, zoning rules, and economic factors affecting development.
• Prepare investment proposals and present to the executive team.
• Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
